Lone Bird Studio is proud to announce the launch of the new Woodfin Business Association website and welcome the association to the Lone Bird family.
From the beginning, the goal was bigger than replacing an old website.
Woodfin needed a coordinated online presence that could represent the association, help people discover local businesses, support membership and connect the community with the new activity taking shape around the town. That required more than a new design.
Building a Public Gateway to Woodfin
The public—not just current association members—was identified as the website’s primary audience.
Residents and visitors needed an easy way to find Woodfin businesses, services, restaurants and community information. Business owners needed a place to explain the association’s value, promote their companies and join the organization.
The new Woodfin Business Association website became the central hub connecting those different needs.
It gives the association a professional public presence while creating a stronger gateway into the Woodfin business community.
Connecting the Website and Business Directory
A major part of the project was the Woodfin Business Directory.
Instead of burying member listings inside the association website, the directory was developed as a public destination where people can browse local businesses by category and quickly find what they need.
The Yes Woodfin domain provides another memorable route into the directory, while the main association website supplies the news, community information and context surrounding it.
Together, the website and directory give Woodfin businesses a shared presence that is larger than any single listing.
Preparing for Taylor’s Wave
Taylor’s Wave at Riverside Park has the potential to bring new visitors and activity into Woodfin.
But increased traffic does not automatically benefit local businesses. Visitors need a clear way to discover where to eat, shop and find services while they are in the area.
The Woodfin Business Directory helps create that connection.
Taylor’s Wave QR codes can direct visitors toward Woodfin businesses, turning interest in the riverfront into greater awareness of the surrounding community. The association now has an online system capable of supporting that opportunity as Taylor’s Wave develops.
Building Search Visibility
Launching the website was only the beginning.
Lone Bird also developed search-focused content covering places to eat, shop, stay, find services and experience the Woodfin community. These articles give search engines more information about Woodfin while giving residents and visitors useful reasons to enter the website.
The website, directory, community content and promotion began reinforcing one another. Search engines started recognizing the association’s connected presence, making it easier to understand what Woodfin offers, who represents its business community and where people can find local information.
Local Media Took Notice
The project also attracted attention beyond the association.
Mountain Xpress featured the effort in its article, “Woodfin Business Association Seeks to Improve the Town’s Visibility,” bringing additional recognition to the association and its larger goal. That coverage confirmed something important: this was not simply another website launch. It was a community visibility project.
More Than a Finished Website
Today, the Woodfin Business Association has a completed website, a working public directory, a stronger search presence, ongoing local content and a system for continued promotion.
The membership side is supported by a dedicated join page and campaign material. Lone Bird will continue providing hosting, security, maintenance, website support and the association’s monthly newsletter.
The pieces are in place. Now they can continue working together.
We are proud of what we built with the Woodfin Business Association and excited to see how it supports the town, its businesses and the opportunities coming with Taylor’s Wave. Welcome to the Lone Bird family, Woodfin.
